The Diabolical Tales Series[]

Diabolical Tales is a six-part, sci-fi/comedy short film series independently produced by Cosmic Control Productions and an homage to the low-budget B-grade sci-fi films that prospered in the 1950s. Taking a cue from the films Ed Wood and American-International Pictures, each of the Diabolical Tales movies were shot at a ridiculously fast past with very little in the way of convincing locations, props, or continuity. The characters are a slice of 1950s sci-fi archetypes: the G-Men are the heroes and the villains wear black. While each installment is complete in and of itself, a greater story unfolds over the course of the six entries.

The Diabolical Tales Series follows the continuing adventures of the heroic FBI Agent Cooper (played by Brian Bedell) and his efforts to save the United States from evil men from within the earth. The series presents a fictional alternate history based around conspiracy theories that involves some notable figures from the recent world history, yet has very tongue-in-cheek dry humor based partly around the low-budget limitations the series was obviously produced with.

The first three movies were shot simultaneously in late 2001-early 2002 and were completed in 2005 and 2007.
